Taryn has a special interest in supporting developmental differences (ie. neurodivergency, cerebral palsy, learning disorders, genetic disorders), gestalt language processing (including echolalia), and early language development. As an NLA (Natural Language Acquisition) Trained Clinician, Taryn has trained in assessing and supporting individuals who are gestalt language processors, helping them move toward self-generated, flexible communication. To further meet the diverse needs of clients, she has also completed a sensory-SLP program, which provides further knowledge to honor each child’s sensory profile and maximize comfort, learning, and connection.
Outside of her pediatric focus, Taryn also offers swallowing and adult consultations, drawing on evidence-based practices to ensure every client receives high-quality, individualized care.
Taryn is a registered member of the The College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Saskatchewan (CSASK), formerly SASLPA, and Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC). These memberships reflect the commitment to ongoing professional growth and to maintaining the highest standards in the field.
At Northern Prairie Therapies, Taryn's goal is to empower clients of all ages to communicate with confidence while supporting families with compassion, clarity, and collaboration. She creates a supportive and understanding environment that aims to accommodate each client's individual needs.
